We are in a phase characterized by further development and growth, and are now looking for a Reception Manager who will lead and further develop our front office department. The role is responsible for ensuring professional operations, efficient resource management and a consistently high level of service delivery at all stages of the guest journey. You will be part of a committed and inclusive working environment where collaboration, quality and hospitality are central.
Responsibilities/tasks
As a reception manager, you will have the overall responsibility for the hotel reception and guest experience on arrival and departure. Your main tasks will be:
- Lead, develop and motivate the reception team in daily operations.
- Check-in and check-out of guests, as well as your own guards at the reception.
- Plan and follow up on rosters and staffing.
- Training and quality assurance of routines in reception.
- Follow-up of apprentices.
- Handling of guest inquiries, feedback and monthly settlements.
- Establishment and quality assurance of routines.
- Daily operations, follow-up of KPIs and improvement processes.
- Personnel responsibility for employees in the reception.
- Participate actively in the hotel's management team, together with other department managers.
- Participate in Duty order.
You will report to the Hotel Manager.
We are looking for you who
- Has experience from hotel/reception operations, preferably from a management role or responsible position. A trade certificate is desirable, but not a requirement.
- Is a clear, proactive, forward-leaning and service-minded leader.
- Thrives on having responsibility and taking initiative.
- Is result- and quality-conscious.
- Is flexible and able to perform under pressure.
- Thrives at a high pace and with responsibility for daily operations and guest experience.
- Experience from Visbook and Bookvisit is a great advantage.
- Experience with personnel management is an advantage, but not a requirement.
- Has good communication skills, both written and oral in Norwegian and English.
